Fairfield Electric Cooperative Board Members are not cooperative employees and do not receive a salary. However, they are compensated for their time and reimbursed for their expenses in service to the cooperative. They receive a per diem (Latin for "per day") payment for attending meetings of the Board of Trustees and with prior approval of the Board of Trustees, a per diem for attending other meetings pertaining to cooperative business.
Fairfield Electric Cooperative Trustees and the Chief Executive Officer may also serve on boards of affiliated organizations and receive compensation.
